Frantisek Masek


I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Economics and Law. My main research interest lies in the fields of monetary policy, financial frictions, heterogeneous agents, and bounded rationality models. Simultaneously, I also conduct research in causal inference, especially using quasi-experimental methods in the spatial econometrics design to capture possible spillovers leading to the SUTVA violation.During my Ph.D., I have spent time at the University of Chicago and the Vienna University of Technology.I have been on a one-year Ph.D. traineeship at the Directorate General Research of the European Central Bank since July 2023.You can find my CV attached here.
